Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy new year to you all, we hope you had a great Christmas break.  The new year is quite often a time when we look around our own house and think that it’s looking a little in need of a change.  If, like us, you think that a new piece of furniture is just what you need, we have lots of new stock coming in over the next few days, so please come and see if there is anything that will be perfect for you.
Of course, when we say ‘new’ in most case it is new to us.  As regular customers know, we have made it one of our main aims to source wonderful and historic pieces of furniture.  Furniture that doesn’t require any resources to make it because it has already graced many homes in the past.  No new trees have been cut down to make a majority of our stock.  No energy has been used to make it and no plastics are involved in any way.  And, as most of our furniture is locally sourced, it doesn’t travel lots of miles to get it to the shop.
It will be lovingly restored in our workshop and will be ready and waiting for a new home.  When we find these wonderful older pieces, we love the idea that, over the years, many people have sat at the table, or written at the desk or put their best china on one of the beautiful vintage dressers we have in the shop at the moment.  And where we do have new products, we try as much as possible to buy from sustainable and reclaimed sources.
So do come and visit us, even if it is just to have a look round, we always love to see everyone and are always available for any advice or just for a chat
And, don’t forget, we have an expert restorer in Mark, one of the owners, so if you have a very loved piece of furniture which needs a little tlc, please bring it down and Mark can advise on the best way to restore it for you.
