Painted Furniture

In our last blog we asked ‘has Spring finally come at last?’ and the answer was clearly categorically ‘no’!!

However, despite the weather, we managed to have a great Easter and well done to Jill, Mandy and Terry who won our Easter raffle and a large Easter egg went home with each of them.

Painted furniture is very popular at the moment and is one of those things which is surprisingly difficult to get right and, if you’re like some of us, you could regret ever starting.

Fortunately, at Huxley at Home, we have some very good craftspeople who have spent many hours perfecting their painting skills upcycling and painting countless antique, vintage, retro and second-hand pieces. We usually use Farrow and Ball paint for that final wonderful finish.  So, if you like painted furniture but don’t want to do it yourself, come and see our range which includes bookcases, a wonderful Victorian corner unit, tables, chairs and chests of drawers.  All waiting to find a place in your home.

We don’t just buy and sell furniture we can also repair, restore and upcycle you’re most beloved home furnishing.

With over 50 years’ experience, our master craftsmen have a plethora of techniques and tricks to achieve any finish you desire. From simple structural repairs, broken tables legs, veneer chips, leather patches and hot drink stains. To more complex restoration and upcycling projects, French polishing, wax finishes, stripping wood and veneer, painting furniture, structural redesign, upholstery, wood staining and recolouring. We can do it all!
