Huxley At Home is run by Mark and Beth Huxley and carries on the tradition of having a furniture store in Runcton. The shop was originally started by David Blackwell as Runcton Furniture who handed over to Pam Crosland who renamed it The Apple Barn. When Pam decided it was time to retire Mark, who had worked alongside both previous owners for over 12 years, was the natural successor.
Clients come from miles to benefit from Mark and his team’s skill and expertise, often returning with more items, trusting them to bring a new lease of life to their much-loved pieces.
Mark and Beth love the environmental aspect of second-hand furniture and where they stock new furniture, they try to ensure everything is as environmentally, and locally, sourced as possible.
Huxley at Home is aiming to have as much choice as possible. We want to cater for as many different tastes and budgets as we can and we want to vary the stock so we always have something different and exciting for our regular customers to view. We also want to stock a few slightly different items which you won’t necessarily see elsewhere. Please come and visit us to view our extensive range and, if you don’t find exactly what you are looking for, we can always seek out the item for you and contact you once we have sourced it for you. Please see our Contact Us page for our opening times and contact details.
