A stunning example of a Robert Heritage designed 1960’s/1970’s rosewood and teak dining suite manufactured by the esteemed furniture maker Archie Shine. Lovingly restored and the chairs re-upholstered in era appropriate colour fabric, this beautiful table is solid teak in leg and underframe. The table top has a solid rosewood nosing (edge of table) and the top is book-matched veneered in highly figured rosewood giving it the incredible finish and sheen seen in the photographs. A wonderful example of the period in excellent, restored, condition. There is also an additional leaf as shown in the photo. The extra leaf has the original finish on it which matches the restored table well.
The chairs are solid rosewood and comprise four chairs and two carvers, all in excellent condition (one leg on one chair has a historical repair). They have all been re-upholstered and are now extremely comfortable. They all have their original finish and are in fantastic condition for their age.
This particular model is called The Dorrington and is a truly remarkable dining set.
